CommerceBasix approaches each client’s requirements with a four-step process.
First, the partner or affiliate works with the client to develop a clear problem statement. Part of the value CommerceBasix and its affiliates bring at this stage is to ensure that the problem statement is both complete and accurate. A third party can bring both an objective and often more complete view of the problem at hand. A balanced, complete, and accurate problem statement ensures that the analytical tasks will focus on the appropriate issues and yield an outcome that is relevant.
Second, CommerceBasix recommends one or more practice methods to address the problem. The firm’s four core areas – technology search and assessment, financial analysis, identification and assessment of potential suppliers, and courses of action – can each stand on their own or can be combined in various ways to provide the optimal analysis.
In addition, the problem may lend itself to analysis using the firm’s AAMPTM methodology. This process combines the firm’s four core service areas but adds additional analytical tools and methods to provide work products designed to address the issues of cost reduction and schedule acceleration.
At this stage the firm and client discuss different analytical alternatives and the resources required to use one or more of the methods available. Once the client has provided CommerceBasix with resource guidance, it can proceed to the next step.
Third, the firm assembles a team of subject matter experts to analyze the problem using the chosen practice methodologies. CommerceBasix has formed strategic alliances with several firms and individuals who bring unique talent and perspective to the analytical task. This team is tailored to the client’s specific needs and includes many of the most talented individuals and companies in their respective industries.
Fourth, the firm and its affiliates analyzed the problem and produce work products that are fact-based, traceable, and actionable. The data is provided in a form that allows for a balanced comparison of alternatives. The information can be quantifiable or may include qualitative information such as market trending information. But in all cases, the information is provided in a form that supports the client’s requirement to make an informed decision that may include complex financial and operational trades.
Finally it is important to note that neither CommerceBasix nor its affiliate organizations or individuals have any pecuniary interest in the outcome of the analysis. CommerceBasix and its affiliates work as honest brokers so that the client can be confident that there are no agendas other than the delivery of the highest quality analysis.
